We need to find out more about this place.

Our best bet so far are those news things that show up on the computers, right?

Do they make those somewhere in the town, do you think? We don't have them in Hyrule, but...

[There's a little bit of scuffling as the feed starts - the usual setting things down, the usual sound of the ocarina being lifted, and then Link begins to play.

The song lasts for over two minutes before Link stops. A short silence stretches, and then, softly:
]

{HYLIAN}
I suppose that's how this carnival made me feel, Fierce.

[He's sure the god would understand.]

[Roughly seconds of silence passes before the notes of The Song of Healing filter through the feed. As always, there is a soothing quality to the song, the notes refreshing and revitalizing.

Link stops after a few minutes.
]

I think this really does soothe the ghosts - at least sometimes...

[He gives a little sigh - a pleased one.]

Mika, I know Seth's gone, but if you ever want to come over and just hang out again, you know you can, all right? Any time would be fine.

[He takes another breath.]

I feel like moving. Anyone want to spar with me?

[Short and to the point.]

I've checked everywhere I can think of. Saria's really gone.

And so's Seth.

[He sighs and turns off his communicator.]

It's always good to get some more tape, and Mika was right - that cake was really delicious.

Saria, are you all right? Where are you?

Dark, Fierce, Seth - everyone else? Same goes for you.

If any of you need me to play one of the songs, let me know and I'll do it.

[The video comes on and is carefully balanced on a shelf. It shows Link's face frowning slightly as he sets it down, his hands reaching up to steady the device. He seems to be satisfied and lowers them, smiling at the screen. If he's feeling bad from his most recent misadventures, he's hiding it very well.]

I figure I should show the notes for those songs that get rid of ghosts. I was going to use the ocarina, but since I'm the only one here who has one, I had to go looking for something a bit more common.

[He holds up a small wooden flute.]

It plays all right...

[He looks at it for a moment, turning it over, and then raising it up, not quite on his lips. In the background, something leans out of the wall.]

All you have to do is follow the notes on your own instruments.

[The thing in the background takes a firmer shape, still embedded in the wall. It looks like the typical ghosts around here, all lank black hair and wide, rolling eyes. It holds up its hands, holding bloodied and mangled fingers outstretched. Link doesn't seem to notice.]

First off, I'm just going to try a few notes...

[The ghost speaks. It's in Japanese, but anyone who can understand that language should be able to make out what it's saying.]

Bloody Fingers... Bloody Fingers...

[Link starts, looks over his shoulder, and then his shoulder muscles relax and he turns, quite calmly, back to the camera.]

Bloody Fingers... Bloody Fingers...
Anyway, the first few notes:

[He raises the flute to his lips and blows out a few notes. The ghost continues to speak in the background through the notes.]

It's important to make sure the sound is clear when you're -
Bloody Fingers... Bloody Fingers...
- playing, because that shows that you're really -
Bloody Fingers, Bloody Fingers...

[Link sighs.]

I'm sorry, I'll do it later.

[He begins to turn around, reaching out for the camera as he does so.]

Look, I told you where the bandages are!

[His hand covers the feed and he shoves the device into his pocket, whereupon it turns off.]

[The notes of the Prelude of Light can be heard. It lasts for a minute or so, and then the ocarina is lowered.]

... I'm back.

{HYLIAN}
Fierce, Dark... Saria...

I'm sorry. I was stupid. It won't happen again.
{/HYLIAN}

[He seems to hover a bit, and then that's all he knows what to say. He continues playing the ocarina until the feed times out.}

[The video feed clicks on to show a face that might be familiar to some residents.

He doesn't look like Dark - not entirely. For one, his hair is greyish white, and his skin looks far, far paler and more sickly. His eyes, however, do shine red, and his face is the twin of Link's. Of course, Link's face wouldn't wear a smile quite so twisted.

He raises a finger to his lips in a shushing gesture, and then turns the communicator around.

The feed shows Karasu, asleep on his bed, hair splayed over the pillows. From the angle, it should be possible to tell that he has an arm over Dark Link, but slackly. He is deeply asleep, but seems to be disturbed that the other body has moved.

The sight of blood on the sheets might be noticed by some residents, and they may draw the right conclusion from that.

Dark Link's hand is seen reaching out and settling on Karasu's neck. He grips almost tenderly before pressing down on his adam's apple with sudden, violent pressure.

The feed is abandoned then.
